My name is Heather. I've had my account here for a long while but have been far too scared to submit anything until recently. I do enjoy browsing through and finding interesting pieces. There are so many talented individuals on this site, wow! I am currently majoring in Graphic Design, so I find myself learning and exploring different ways to express myself through my artwork. I love drawing portraits and up until now, have always worked with graphite or charcoal. Working with my graphic tablet on a computerized canvas is taking a while to get used to, but I plan to continue working with it as it is a form of art that I love and am envious of those who are skilled in that area. I have also gotten absorbed into doing fan art. That's pretty much all I know to say here. Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to viewing/submitting more pieces and meeting some like minded people!

Guys....why in the heck do I find it easier to draw/paint realistic pics versus anime/manga style?! Shouldn't this be the opposite way? Maybe it's because I'm used to doing realistic pics? But still, features aren't nearly as complicated in anime. Also, since we are on the subject....I cannot cell shade correctly to save my life. What is wrooooong with me?! Haha. Does anyone have any tips? For now, I will just stick with doing realistic versions. :/
Hello everyone,
Sorry for my seemingly lack of presence over the past week or so. I'm noticing through everyone's journals that a serious case of art block is going around. I'm afraid I have fallen to it as well. :(
So I am going to take inspiration from the fabulous :thumb337076778: and take some requests! I will probably pick two or three (or all, who knows? lol) to work on over the next few days/weeks. I'm interested in hearing what you guys would like to see. I have an open mind and am pretty much willing to attempt anything unless it's just something that I feel I just could not do in a literal sense.
